Dan was a peculiar man. He had a strange habit of looking up at the sky and saying “Hello” to the clouds. His friends and family found it amusing, but they knew better than to ask him why he did it.

One day, Dan was walking through the park when he ran into a woman he had never met before. She was gazing up at the sky, just like Dan often did.

“Hello there!” Dan called out, his face breaking into a wide smile.

The woman turned to him and blinked in surprise. “Uh, hello,” she replied hesitantly.

Dan chuckled. “I’m Dan. What’s your name?”

“I’m Rachel,” the woman said, still looking a bit puzzled. “Do you always greet the clouds like that?”

Dan nodded. “I like to think that they’re my friends in the sky. It just makes me feel good to say hello to them.”

Rachel smiled. “That’s a lovely way to think of it. I do the same thing sometimes. It just makes me feel connected to something bigger than myself.”

Dan’s face lit up. “You do? That’s great! Maybe we can be sky friends together.”

Rachel laughed. “I’d like that. It’s nice to meet you, Dan.”

And with that, the two of them continued walking through the park, greeting the clouds as they went.

Dan and Rachel continued to meet up in the park every day, greeting the clouds together and getting to know each other better. They found that they had many things in common, including their love for animals.

One day, as they were walking through the park, they stumbled upon a stray cat. It was a small, scruffy little thing with big green eyes and a fluffy tail.

Dan bent down to pet the cat, and it immediately started purring and rubbing against his hand. “Aww, it looks like we’ve made a new friend,” he said, smiling up at Rachel.

Rachel nodded, her own smile spreading across her face. “It’s a beautiful cat. I wonder if it has a home.”

The cat looked up at them with its big, pleading eyes, as if to say “Please take me home with you.”

Dan and Rachel looked at each other, and they both knew what the other was thinking. They couldn’t bear to leave the poor thing out on the streets.

So, they decided to take the cat home with them. They named her Sky, after their shared love of looking up at the clouds.

From that day on, the three of them were inseparable. Dan, Rachel, and Sky spent their days exploring the park and greeting the clouds together. They were the happiest they had ever been, and they knew that they would always be there for each other, no matter what.
